Difficulty Levels

The difficulty level of a hike depends on various factors such as the elevation gain, terrain, weather conditions, and the length of the hike.

Level 1: Very easy

Short courses, 4km to 6km, with low cumulative ascents and descents. Duration between 2h to 3h with rest periods included.

Level 2: Easy

Paths of relative short distance, 5.5 km to 7.5 km, with cumulative ascents and descents not exceeding 350m each. Duration between 4h-6h with rest periods included.

Level 3: Moderate

Paths media to media / long distance, 7.5 km to 12.5 km, with cumulative ascents and descents between 350m and 650m each. Duration between 4h-6h with rest periods included.

Level 4: Difficult

Paths media / long distance, 7.5 km to 12.5 km, with cumulative ascents and descents between 700m and 1,000 m for each. Duration 6 hours with rest periods included, and sometimes in rugged terrain.

Level 5: Very difficult

Long distance routes, over 12km, with cumulative ascents and descents the top 1,000m for each. Lasting more than 6 hours, often over rough terrain or snow and ice.
