The 3 Forests Path

70€ per person

The Sintra forest, besides its beauty, it’s also known of being in fact, not one but several forests in one, where we can find local species mixed with others from all over the world, many of them, exotic. This huge variety of species as its origin in the mid-nineteenth century, the Romanticism movement golden period, by the hand of D. Fernando King.

In this very intimist hike we will cross 3 of these forests, each one very beautiful and peculiar. We also know a megalithic monument with about 5.000 years and it’s terrific views.

After an impressive cedars forest, we will find a medieval setting provided by the “Peninha“ shrine and the chapel of “St. Saturnino” with its 1000 years of history. From here, one of the highest points of the “Moon Mountain” (Sintra), about 500m high, the views are infinite.

After we cross one of the last known zones of the Sintra forest we will start going down to the tiny village where this hike started and will finish.
